As much as we would like to hope that we will never experience an emergency on the road, most people are not that lucky. That is why the team at Alan Jay Cadillac strongly recommends building a roadside emergency kit for your vehicle that you carry with you at all times.
The kit should include basic supplies, including water, non-perishable food, and a flashlight. Extra batteries are also a good idea. Some basic items may help you get out of whatever predicament you have found yourself in, so include jumper cables and a multi-use tool. Flares are also important to warn other drivers that you are on the side of the road.
You will need to change your kit slightly as the seasons change. In the winter, it is important to have a heavy blanket, hat, and gloves. A lighter blanket will likely work in the warmer months.
